Eyes on the prize - Ryan Harrison

Something that really moved me was how reluctant the people in little rock and the governor were to not let the 9 black students into that school even after the court ruled that they could. The court ruled that segregation in public schools was unlawful, but the people were not having it. Even the governor which is what really surprised me. The governor did not want to follow the court so he sent troops to stop them from entering. The way that the white people beat the distractions for the little rock 9 to escape also moved me because they were just walking away and they were fighting back but people continuously hit them in their heads with bricks and other objects. They expressed so much hatred for black people it didn't make sense to me.
