Game Change- Griffin Gallas

Griffin’s Gov Movie Response

Q. Does a POTUS or a VPOTUS need to be highly knowledgeable about all issues associated with their offices or should they rely on the staffs to provide information to answer questions?
  1. Both POTUS and VPOTUS should know an abundance about ALL political issues going on in this country. While campaigning, one’s goal is to convince American citizens that they are the right person for the job. If someone has no clue about something that has a large impact in this country then what that shows the potential voter is that they are not worthy of the position. *cough cough Betsy DeVos*

Q. Do you think that governors of certain states are more “qualified” or “knowledgeable” about national politics and foreign policy than others? For example, does Sarah Palin’s career as governor of Alaska make her too far removed from the epicenter of national political activity to be taken seriously?

  1. Absolutely, there should be a lot taken into consideration when finding ANY potential politicians. Sarah Palin was a governor in a state that does not have very much going on. For some perspective Alaska’s population is roughly 800,000 people while illinois has 12,000,000 people. Obviously there are going to be a lot less problems going on is a smaller populated state resulting in an inexperienced governor.
