1. The music video represents many key points in “The Hunting Ground”. Many victims were not taken seriously and felt like no one believed them. That was represented in the video by a girl with “believe me” written on her arm. The graphic scenes greatly resemble the stories told by victims on college campuses. This also shows victims seeking help among their peers and joining together to stop the epidemic of college campus rape. Videos just like these will raise awareness among people who have not been directly affected by rape. The graphic and vivid scenes could make people realize how much of an issue this is.
2. The EROC organization was co-founded in 2013 by Annie E. Clark and Sofie Karasek. Their objectives are to end campus sexual violence through direct support for survivors, prevention through education, and by creating new policies to combat against the crime. EROC is a non profit organization that is funded mostly by donations. According to their website they have been portrayed in positive ways including being involved in articles with USA Today, The Huffington Post, and ESPNW.
